How does someone end up auctioning themselves off for a weekend? 

By being as desperate for money as I am.

At the end of the month, I'll lose my childhood home if I can't come up with the money that's due. It's all that I have left of my parents—of my sibling.  

I can't lose it. I'll do anything to keep it. Even if it means selling myself to the highest bidder for the weekend.
